Gur prasaad Naanak samdrishtaa
The creator of all, the enjoyer of all.
The creator listens, the creator sees.
The creator is unseen, and the creator is seen.
The creator forms, and the creator destroys.
The creator touches, and the creator is detached.
The creator speaks, and the creator understands.
The creator comes, and the creator goes.
The creator has no virtues, and the creator is full of virtues.

Sa is the Infinite, the totality, God. It is the origin, the beginning, and it contains all other effects. It is subtle and beyond. Har is the creativity of the earth. It is the dense element, the power of manifestation, the tangible, the personal. These sounds are woven together and then projected though the sound of Ung, or complete Totality. This is the base mantra of all mantras. Adversity melts before this mantra. It gives you the capacity of effective communication so your words contain mastery and impact. This mantra helps you conquer the wisdom of the past, present, and future. It brings you peace and prosperity.

The pain of countless incarnations is relieved, and support is given to the dry and parched mind.
Darshan bhetat hot nihaalaa, har kaa naam beechaarai
Beholding the vision of the One, I am amazed and filled with love, meditating the divine sound current.
Mera baid guru govindaa
My healer is the Guru, the Lord of the universe.
Har har naam, aukhadh mukh devai
He places the medicine of the Naam upon my lips, and cuts away the noose of death.
Samrath purakh puran bidhaate, aape karnaihaara
The One is perfection, and al powerful. The Architect of Destiny; He himself is the doer of everything.
Apuna daas har aap ubaariaa, naanak naam adhaaraa
The Lord Himself saves his slave; Nanak takes the support of the Naam.

I am in ecstasy in the feeling of God, coming from darkness into the light of true being.
This mantra is the infinite teacher of the soul. It expresses tremendous ecstasy, and brings you into your destiny. It also balances the Ether Tattva or the element of Ether in your being.
Putaa Mata Ki Asees
Jis simrat sabh kilvikh naaseh, piaree hoe udhaaro
In remembering the divine, all guilt and pain are released, and generations are saved.
So har har tum sad hee jaapho, jaa kaa ant na paaro
Meditate continually on the divine, Har, Har; who is beyond any end or limitation.
Putaa mata kee asees
O child, this is thy mother’s prayer
Nimakh na bisaro tum ko har har, sadaa bhajo jagdeesh
May you never forget, even for a single moment, Har Har, the eternal vibration of the universe.
Satigur tum ko hoe dayaalaa, sant sang teree preet
May the True Guru be kind to you, and may your beloveds be the saints and the sacred companions.
Kaapar pat parmesar raakhee, bhojan keertan neet
May your protection and honor from the Transcendent Lord be your clothes, and may the singing of his praises be your food.
Amrit peevho sadaa chir jeevho, har simrat anad anantaa
Drink in the sweet Ambrosial Nectar, and live forever: with infinite bliss in divine meditation.
Rang tamaasaa puran aasaa, kabeh na biaapai chintaa
May joy and pleasure be yours, your hopes fulfilled, and may you never be troubled by worries.
Bhavar tumaara eho man hovho, har charnaa hoh kaulaa
Let this mind of yours be the bumble bee, and let the Lord’s feet be the lotus flower.
Naanak daas un sang laptaaio, jio boondeh chatrik molaa
Says servant Nanak, attach your mind to the community of saints, and blossom forth like the song-bird upon finding the rain-drop.
This is aprayer from mother to child. It can also be meditated with, as a prayer from the divine mother to your own soul.
